Unlike Ana's Tea House, the rumours are true: we've notified the landlady, and
on December 1 - the Chateau closes its doors. After ~3.5 years of togetherness - Friends-like longevity in flighty T.O. - we're winding it up on highly positive terms, as Voula plans for a move to the suburbs, Flavio mooches his family for more permanent digs, and Ming cruises into a bachelorette pad.
I for one have been insanely busy this year, and apologize to our blog readers (and indeed to my fellow
Chateauvians) for lack of Bonhomme-initiated
Chateau action of late. The non-
Chateau universe has been calling, and I had to answer. Although this is a very sad announcement, the
blog archives speaks for themselves: it's been a blast, and I when I think about what we've accomplished, I am EXTREMELY proud to be a
Chateauvian in what was heretofore a
Chateau-deprived city.
Stay tuned for housewrecking party announcements, including
PunkinPalooza 2007 - Gourds of Fire (Sunday, October 21). The end is coming but there's two months to go out in Chateau style!
(also trying to break records for most usage of '
Chateau' in a
Chateau Nice blog post)
